Earn Money Through Google Adsense

1. Best utilizing of your ad spots?

This is the first questions you should be asking yourself. AdSense won't allow you to add as many ad units as you like. But are you even utilizing all the ad-spots that it does allow? For every page on your website, AdSense will only let you place three AdSense for content units. These vary in size, so you can utilize the best possible locations your ads can fit in. But you can only place one 300x600 ad unit. Apart from this, you can use three text-ad units, and two AdSense for for search boxes units. Before placing all these ad-units though, take some time to consider whether you have a sizable quality content to ad unit ratio. It just doesn't make sense if all the ad spots have been used, but there is no actual content on that page.

2. Focus on ad sizes

You can't create ads with your custom size, google provide pre defined size, so use it. Generally 728x90, 300x250 and 336x280 ad units give highest results. But 300x600 is also looks good and attract users for click. According to me Tall and Thin ad-units don't make good impressions. The ad size should also correspond to the placement of your content.

3. Use text and images too

Usually, publishers just focus on image ads, and forget about the other options available. Adding text ads is a good idea as well, because they compete with the image ad units for the same space. Using a combination of text and image ads can help you earn a lot more.Generally, I see that webmaster like Image ads, I know it looks pretty, but text ads also provide high revenue, so don't ignore them. Always use combination of both.

4. Add search boxes

As you Know image ads are not the only thing in the world. AdSense will allow you two AdSense for search boxes units per page as well. They let you place a custom search engine on your site to provide users with web search. And you might earn from relevant ads on the search results page.

5. Make your ad units accessible

Pay special attention to where you actually place your ad units. They should complement, and fit in with your content. And also, users should be able to easily identify and access them. Generally, ads should be above-the-fold. Google offers a lot of guidelines to help you place your ads.

6. Post color combinations

They can play a big part in how much revenue you earn. There are three strategies you can choose from. Blend, Compliment, and contrast. Compliment is normal placement, where ad units are used within content, and are distinguishable. Blending ad units into content means using the same colors, so that it is hard to distinguish the ad unit. Contrast means you use contrasting colors that scream out an ad-unit's presence. You can use any of those, as long as you follow the guidelines from Google.

Some Other Ways :

If you run a blog /website which gets a lot of search engine traffic, one of the good ways to monetize and make money online is through Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising Networks. Google Adsense is the most popular PPC Advertising network that offers a contextual advertising solution to web publishers delivering  text-based Google ads that are relevant to site content pages.
You need to sign up with Google Adsense and paste a code on your site that will then show up contextual advertisements on your site and you will earn a certain amount of money for every click. Contextual advertisements are ads which are relevant to your content.

Cost per click (CPC) is the sum paid by an advertiser to search engines and other Internet publishers for a single click on their advertisement, which directs one visitor to the advertiser’s website. The CPC varies depending on the search engine and the level of competition for a particular keyword

Click Through Rate (CTR) is obtained by dividing the “number of users who clicked on an ad” on a web page by the “number of times the ad was delivered” (impressions). For example, if a banner ad was delivered 100 times (impressions delivered) and 1 person clicked on it (clicks recorded), then the resulting CTR would be 1 percent.

The CTR largely depends on the design of the website and a good way to analyze where to place your advertisements is by using heat maps.
The Click Through Rate is also affected by the kind of traffic you receive on your site. If you receive search engine traffic, there will generally be a higher click-through rate as the traffic is targeted and looking for specifics.
